Big Contact Event In NYC - Dec 6th 2005

So I've jsut released a new endevour related to my BigContact.com project: Big Contact Events. Our first event will be at the Tonic in New York City celebrating The Deli Magazine's 1st birthday with some great music from The Occasion, Dirty Rainbow and Mike Wexler. If you don't know Deli Mag they are a mag focused on NYC indie rock bands. The following tracks are from the bands athtare performing that evening. There are more tracks at www.bigcontact.com/events.
If you are a podcaster or mp3 blogger I have gotten the bands to agree to release the tracks on the Big Contact Events site for your shows. If you come to the show the bands will also be available for interviews be it text, audio, video or what have you.
So Big Contact Events are designed to get podcasters, mp3 bloggers, music lovers and bands all in the same room and drunk. Come to this event early: come rigt after work at 7pm and down stairs (Subtonic) you can get in free and eat free and listen to DJ Oil and talk trash and meet folks.
Then upstairs the bands will play. Its $10 at the door - or $8 if you either buy ticket early or print out a flyer from the Big Contact Events site.
There are som epromotional things available for podcasters at the Big Contact Events site as well - so head over there and check it out if you would. I'd hate for all my hard work to go unnoticed! Ha. Cheers. And I hope to see you all there...

My friends in the Occasion are one of the best and more unqiue NYC bands. The first album is a little more 60's moody, mod, psych. The latest album Cannery Hours opens up even more and seems to leave the couch-slouching for a 70's van chooglin' down open desert roads. Ha. Sorry I'm a visual guy. That's how I describe music. Thankfully you can just hit play above (if you are on my site) and listen right away and judge for yourself...
So if you are in the NYC area December 6th you must come out to the Tonic to see them perform - and hang out before with free food etc to celebrate The Deli Mag's 1st Birthday.
